Plan an afternoon of friends, travel, wine tasting and discussion with a Travel Professional. Learn tips of the trade and ideas for new destinations. The Euro is at it's lowest exchange in a decade, now is the time to go. Bring a used travel guide book and swap for a new destination. Wine and food are no host, pay as you go. Take BART to the Embarcadero stop and walk across the street to Ferry Building Wine Merchant.

As the organizer I was excited to meet a well known travel writer, Janice, another tour operator Anne, ad two ladies that have traveled muchof the owrld as solo travelers. The travel writer has been to more than 100 countries. I picked up two new books and had a fascinating conversation. Made some new friends that want to keep in touch.

We can either ride together or share a cab...what ever is cheapest and most convenient for us both. I live in Palo Alto, and am not really that familiar with SF. I will obviously be driving to the ferry building and parking around there, so we'll see what works best for us on Sunday. Thanks!

I thot it sounded waay cool also. Looking forward to it. Am trying to decide if I should drive and hassle parking twice or maybe we can just share a cab there from ferry bldg.
