"The only thing constant in life is change." (~ Francois de la Rochefoucauld, French classical author)
This saying holds very true, moreso these days; however, despite life's uncertainties, we all have some amount of control in the form of our personal actions and activities. Yes, there are definitely job losses and career transitions/changes (whether we like it or not). It can be overwhelming and many find themselves in uncertain times.
The primary goal of this forum is to provide as many resources as possible to help ease the transition a bit. These resources may be in the form of:
- Guidance in generally transitioning out of one workplace and preparing for your next employment adventure
- Resume writing/critique'ing and interviewing role plays (what to do/not to do)
- Job board sources and trends in effective resume application/posting, key-word search tips
- Image consulting (yes, impressions do have an impact!)
- Career networking mixers - Let's get you in front of key hiring managers!!
- General peer-to-peer support meetups - Break time from the job hunt...happy-hour style!
I highly encourage all members to be interactive with one another and committed to a high-level of meetup participation. I'm a strong believer that we can all be a resource to someone via our personal and professional networks.
Look forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming meetups!
