Re: [bike-253] anybody up for a moderate mountain bike ride this weekend?

I'll start working on it now...
How about China Camp?  There are mellow trails that can become challenging by turning on a switch back at the fork in the trails...and the vistas are fabulous!

To coax others to join, I suggest we have a post/intra-ride picnic!  In fact, as I recall, there are picnic tables on some trails and certainly at the top of the mountain!  I can go to the Farmer's Mkt before (just down the road at the Civic Center) and pick up some fresh organic strawberries, artisan bread and cheese!  You can bring the beverages!  What do you think?

That would be quite a talent!

I live in the east bay so I?ll be driving...

Will you be riding from the City or will you drive with your MTB?

Hi Miki,

Sunday a.m. is good, I??d love to learn a new trail.

Moderate for me would be rides like Tamarancho, Redwood park, Lake Chabot, Fremont Older or China Camp. Corte Madera, the Demonstration Forest, Henry Coe Park and summiting Mt. Tam would be examples of rides that I love and used to do but am not really in shape for now.

I have a friend who I usually ride with that probably will want to come along, and let??s see if we get any other people from the meetup that want to come too...barring any strong opinions from anybody else that wants to come, I??ll let you suggest a ride :)

Just to put it out there, my wife will object if it was just you and I going, so hopefully my friend Gary or somebody else will want to join us.

Talk to you soon!

Jeff

If you would like to ride Marin, I am happy to show you some trails...I am an early riser, too...How about Sunday a.m.?  What trails do you like to ride that are "moderate"? ('Just to get an idea of your preference...Don't have to be in Marin...I am not so familiar with trails on the Peninsula, but know a few --Rancho San Antonio, Fremont Older Space, Corte Madera, Nisene Marks, Santa Teresa) and East Bay  (Lake Chabot, Tilden)

Cheers,

Miki

I'm open on location, prefer morning ride--it's all negotiable. Shoot me a note if you want to get out!
