Vietnamese Cuisine at Slanted Door in SF Ferry Bldg

"Slanted Door is a modern Vietnamese restaurant that showcases the abundance of produce as well as ecologically farmed meat, game and poultry found at farms around the San Francisco Bay Area."

I ate here last year and not only is the food delicious, but the view is simply stunning. We can't go wrong sharing a meal at this popular SF establishment. Guest list opens 1 week before the event.

Fine Print ~

1. Family-style, prix fixe dinner, which means that we share all the dishes (if you have major food allergies or are a selective diner, then this event is prolly not for you!).

2. The prix fixe menu is $53 per person and we'll receive 3 appetizers, 3 entrees and 1 vegetable. "Prix Fixe menus portions are designed for family-style dining and will be sized to accommodate the number in your party. If you wish to order extra dishes add $3 per person for each additional appetizer or vegetable, and $6 per person for an additional entrée."

3. We'll split the bill evenly among us (including 34% for tax, tip & SF health fee). You're responsible for your drinks on top of the shared bill.

4. Update your RSVP the night before if you don't think you can make it (that's only fair to the folks on the waiting list).

5. Space is limited so no last-minute flakes please!

What a wonderful evening. Everything seemed to glow, or is that the piña colada talking? The food was phenomenal and worth every penny. Best of all, though, it was so much fun relaxing amongst pals in full view of the sparkling Bay Bridge. Thanks for a great night out!

Tee, according to my math, that would be a 22% tip? (9% tax, 3% health fee) . Sorry, I'm already feeling the $53, lol :-)
But what's a few dollars among friends, right?

Hey Beth, price per person is $53 (though we may wish to order additional dishes, per a group discussion & agreement). The restaurant will add 10% tax plus 4% SFHF to that figure. These figures are taxes, they are not considered gratuities. We'll then add a 20% tip to the $53. None of these figures are compounded. As you've surmised, this will not be an inexpensive dinner. If someone decides to have a delightful cocktail or two, their final bill could easily reach $100. Something for everyone to consider before/upon RSVPing, given these uncertain economic times. Thanks for asking!

Also updated the event to include the Prix fixe dinner, which is $53pp for 3 apps, 3 entrees and 1 veggie. Additional dishes are $3pp for apps and $6pp for entrees.

Hello everyone, I just expanded the guest list from 6 to 8, but had to bump the time back to 5:45. Please check your calendars to make sure you can join us for an early dinner next Sat. Thanks!
