Miso Hungry for Sobo Ramen (Oakland Chinatown)

We're on a mission to find the best Ramen in the Bay. Our next candidate was recommended by Wendyfellow gastronomer and our event host for the evening.

Sobo Ramen is a Japanese inspired Ramen Shop located in the heart of Oakland's Chinatown. They serve comforting and unique noodles, an assortment of Japenese inspired appetizers and bento boxes. The Yelp Reviews illustrate that Sobo has something for everyone. Inventive, inexpensive, and convenient to public transportation, what more could we ask for?

Great recommendation, Wendy!! We'll be back via our Summer Rerun series for the SOBO trifecta: good location, good prices and good food. A major welcome to new members Harvey and Andrew. It was also nice seeing so many familiar faces. Good vibes all around!!

Thanks for a good meal that's also affordable (unfortunately, something i need to limit myself to). & thanks for the good company. Enjoyable & worthwhile meal all around (though my ramen dish was a bit more bland than i was expecting -- if i get to go again, i'll have to try one of the spicy or garlicy ones ...or have a meal of all those appetizers<g>).

I just remembered the restaurant: udupi palace south Indian food, so more mellow than most Indian restaurants. @mlkj & university in Berkeley

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
