Located in a small surf town of Pacifica, high in the hills of Montara Mountain lies a series of downhill trails popular with the gravity oriented and adrenaline rush junkies. It is an easy middle chain ring climb up a paved fireroad (San Pedro Mountain Road) to the bottom of The Crack. From there, we will ride over to and down the Mile and session Boy Scout.
Type of Ride: Intermediate to Advance
Recommendations: Elbow, knee/shin pads
Highly recommended but not necessary for ultimate enjoyment: 5" travel, full suspension bike
Location: Montara Mountain: San Pedro Mountain Road entrance at the end of Higgins Way just past Montessori School of Linda Mar.
The View: Absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking and unbeatable views of the Pacific Ocean. Plus Montara Mountain is covered with lush greenery.
Meeting place: We will meet at the corner of Adobe Drive and Higgins Way. There is plenty of street parking. But make sure you park on Adobe Drive. Higgins Way has a time limit for parking.
