Natalie -- Sugar + Fat = Bodily fat in particular, in my findings. Especially something like agave + nuts. If you're looking to lose weight, contact me on facebook and we can chat about it. I used to be 153 pounds and hardly *any* of that weight was muscle.

Hmmm, I don't see anybody posting it here so I think, because I have so many greens around, and also in the garden, I'm going to make a huge mixed salad and create one of my lemony-sweet lowfat dressings to go with it.
Maybe some of the things I'll put on the side in case people don't want them (i.e. nuts/seeds). I have great Rangpur limes in the garden (like a kind of lemon) and maybe I'll bring a bottle of the olives that I make from the trees that grow all around me!

    Hi Natasha-
It's straight uphill--as bad as it can get. I get no cell reception in my neighborhood (I'm just few blocks from the venue) but if you give me yours and tell me what time to call you I will try to either be at home or get some reception and see if you need help. I have a hatchback so I could probably get you and your bike once you're at 106th & Foothill. I'm going to the movies first but will try to make it home before 5.

I'm closest to the Fremont bart, Bekah. Do you mean you're interested in driving or getting a ride?

    March 11, 2011

  • Natasha

I'm considering taking my bike on public transit from San Francisco. The last stop is 106th & Foothill blvd and I'd like to ride my bike from there... can anyone tell me what the ride looks like the last two miles to my destination?

    March 11, 2011

  • Jillian L.

I know this location is challenging for public transport... but it is a beautiful location. carpooling would be best - lets use this comments posting area as a way to coordinate ride shares...

    March 10, 2011

  • Natalie B.

i wana come Jillian but i have no ride :( its far from public transportation.... maybe next time.

Jordan, I would love to get in on your carpool. What bart station is convenient for you coming from Palo Alto?

    March 10, 2011

  • Michael R.

Hey Jordan, I'm in Palo Alto, and would love to arrive at the earlier time to participate in the Great Un-cooking, so you and anyone else wants to carpool, I can fit up to four passengers in my car.

For anyone who knows me, this is old hat, but here it is -- My husband and I can not have any agave at all, not even a tiny little amount. I also can not have any other refined sugars at all -- no xylitol, coconut crystals, molasses, stevia powder, or other syrup-sugars or powder-sugars. In theory, I could have some honey directly from the comb, but I have reacted to other people's creations that contained honey, so that's out as well. Dates, figs, raisins, bananas -- they work just as well.
