I could use the energy-lift, am hoping to get more into preparing raw food soon, and can't think of a better place to do it!
Hi! In 2009 I took my first raw chefting course with Juliano in L.A. -- it was a lot of fun. I've cooked for 100 on a home stove (even more fun). Now I'm looking for more opportunities to gain hands-on experience.
Great group -- good people serious about their nutrition and well-being, yet sociable and nice to be around. Update 02/07/2012: I hope this post isn't too long, but I have to share. Yesterday I attended an event of Jillian's. The group made dinner, and it was delicious (can't wait to get those recipes -- especially for the pizza sauce!) But the remarkable thing was what happened for me _after_ the event: Being a sugar addict, I invariably eat 1-3 bowls of cereal at night. And last night I walked to the fridge out of habit, only to realize once I got there that I was neither hungry nor craving anything! I actually neither felt the need to eat, nor did I eat anything. Talk about satisfying food. And we didn't over-eat either. In comparison, tonight I totally stuffed myself on raw vegan food at Cafe Gratitude (Pad Thai, 2 desserts, a bag of almonds, and Kombucha). Yet a couple hours later I was hungry again! Clearly, Jillian makes great meals that are above-and-beyond.
