I am a bioinformatician with a bioinformatics certificate from University of California at Santa Cruz. Much of my 15+ years of experience in scientific computing was in international physics collaborations.
Being a PhD in nuclear physics myself I highly recommend this group to anyone who tries to break into the bioinformatics field.

Nice to hear from you! I really wish I had been able to to get to the meet up, it sounds great. I finished the advanced sequencing tools that Sami Khuri taught at UCSC-ext this winter, it was a great class. He taught us all about hidden Markov models, among other things, it was quite fun.
