■ I started my career in pharmaceutical sales, marketing and medical affairs representing global pharmaceutical company. ■ Extensive R&D background with 5 years in RNA technologies. I worked in laboratory pioneering in research on ribozymes, RNAi, microRNAs and aptamers. Now I understand why ribozymes work better than protein enzymes, but still unsure why they were evolutionary replaced. ■ Pharmaceutical Product Development: earlier in my research career I worked on formulation of pain-killer tablets using a novel approach, which allows the medicines to dissolute twice faster. The technology is now commercialized by Ozon Pharmaceuticals. ■ Writing is pleasant, whether it is a 150-page PhD thesis or a monthly column in a pharmaceutical journal.
