  • November 8, 2010 · 6:30 PM

Hello everyone:

I'm excited to announce the next two rounds of Bayjax on Nov 8th and Nov 10th. These are a do-not-miss-events.

YUIConf has brought together this distinguished panel to explore the near future of the discipline at a time of great change. Scheduled panelists include Elaine Wherry, founder and frontend architect at Meebo; Douglas Crockford, JavaScript architect at Yahoo!; Tantek Çelik, technologist and author; Ryan Dahl, creator of Node.js; Joe Hewitt of Facebook, creator of Firebug and one of the most downloaded mobile applications of all time (Facebook for iOS); Thomas Sha, YUI founder at Yahoo!. YUI is excited to team up with the Yahoo! Developer Network to make available to the general public the YUIConf 2010 evening panel discussion moderated by Ajaxian founders Ben Galbraith and Dion Almaer. This special event complements three days of technical and insightful sessions spanning all things YUI, YQL, and Node.js. Although the conference is already sold out, anyone can attend the evening panel discussion by signing up at:

The panel addressed individual questions more than delving into deep discussion, breadth over depth. Having not heard Tantek speak before, I was especially pleased with what he had to say.

Some of the panelist's mic didn't work very well it seem. It was hard to hear. Then the audience mic worked too well, so loud I couldn't understand.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
