Apture is a venture-backed company aiming to re-imagine the way people access information. Founded by successful technologists and Stanford Computer Science alums, Apture seeks to bring to market one of the most compelling Internet services to date.

Headquartered in beautiful San Francisco, Apture is developing the first "contextual exploration engine" as a layer above the page, wrapping information around users, so they don't have to leave the page to get additional information. As a result, Apture lowers the cost to access information at the right time, thereby deepening understanding and awareness. It also keeps readers on publishers' sites and drives 2-3x more engagement, while providing added revenue opportunities for publishers.

In a short period of time, Apture is live on areas of the New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, Time, and thousands of blogs.

We're funded by Clearstone Venture Partners, a leading early stage VC firm in consumer Internet (Overture, Paypal, Netzero, mp3, Internet Brands, etc.). The company's founders were featured in Inc. Magazine's "30 under 30 Coolest Young Entrepreneurs" and awarded ReadWriteWeb’s Top 10 Semantic Web Products of 2009.

We are looking for people who want to work on incredibly complex problems and come up with solutions that will change the world. This is an opportunity to not only work with a dynamic group of people, but also the opportunity to build a platform that can revolutionize the way we look at information. We want the best and the brightest. People who work hard and play hard. People who want to make an impact. Why be a cog in the wheel when you can help steer the ship?

If you are one of these people or know one of these people, we'd love to hear from you. Please see our open positions below. Please send inquiries and resumes to jobs -at- apture -period- com and tell us a little bit about yourself.
