Hapi API Framework and ZeroRPC

  • No location was chosen

  • A rich framework for building restful API services. hapi is a configuration-centric framework in which authentication requirements, input validation, data caching and pre-fetching, developer documentation, and other essential facilities are provided out-of-the-box and enabled using simple JSON configuration objects.hapi enables developers to focus on writing reusable business logic instead of spending time with everything else.

ZeroRPC So good you'll forget the R

ZeroRPC is a light-weight, reliable and language-agnostic library for distributed communication between server-side processes. It builds on top of ZeroMQ and MessagePack. Support for streamed responses - similar to python generators - makes ZeroRPC more than a typical RPC engine. Built-in heartbeats and timeouts detect and recover from failed requests. Introspective capabilities, first-class exceptions and the command-line utility make debugging easy. ZeroRPC powers the infrastructure behind dotCloud.

Sorry all. I created this event as a place holder to allow people to join, but I had some trouble finding a venue. I've also had a particularly busy month (for example, I'm now working at LinkedIn doing node.js on their mobile team). I'm currently working with the speakers to see if we can't push this to next week, and there's an extremely small chance it may still happen tomorrow night. If anyone knows of any venues available for tomorrow night, please message me.

    Cheers,
    Adam
