Saturday Morning Boot Camp Workout

Bring your mat, tennis shoes, gloves, water bottle and friends for a fun, laughing total body boot camp workout.    We will workout hard like boot campers, but we will play like big kids!   Come join us for the fun and for building your body strong and healthy and building good friendships!

    Yesterday was my first day with the group. It was a challenge. I thought I was in way better shape then I am. Due to time restraints I am only able to stay for the first hour for awhile. I felt amazing all day! My energy level is up and I cannot wait to attend next week! I place myself in an intermediate group, the gals in my group were great and so encouraging.

      I glad you enjoy yourself Dawn. We have a great group of positive, encourage, and uplifting people. We all just want to get healthier and more fit while trying to have fun and laugh a lot. You are only going to get better and better....guaranteed!!! Hope to see tomorrow night for Resistance Stretching. It is amazing!

    I know I got a good workout I put myself in the 2nd advance group and I'm heavy I'm carrying my own body weight but I know too I need to push myself and that is why I did that plus I feel like I can hang since I do Mays La classes!!! Nonetheless we all encourage one another and with Mays help she sees us and will push you if you are not pushing yourself!!! I love what Lisa said could not have said it better....A free workout outside with people who have the same goal to be healthy and fit!!! aMAYzing for sure!! Lisa got it right!! Thx May!! And thanks to my group today you did push me!!! (No more wheelbarrows May lol)

      Thank you Michele. I guess I could have placed you in the intermediate group and I bet you would have still pushed yourself and you would have motivated the others that were may be not as strong as you are! It works both ways......you either get motivated by others or you motivate others! It is all about helping each other get healthier and fit.

      Thank you Teckie for your feedback. All we want to do is provide an free opportunity to help as many people as possible to have fun working out and getting healthier and fit together. Looking forward to see you on Monday night. I will be posting a Volkwalk in May 2014 which we will do boot camp first followed by the volkwalk with Sam and Laura. Hope you can join us.

    Sharon, I verified all our postings of our Boot Camp and there not a mention on 'RESISTANCE TRAINING" for our Boot Camp. Nevertheless, like I mentioned earlier, there is plenty of resistance when you have to carry your own body weight. You must have this confused with our SMALL GROUP/RESISTANCE STRETCHING. Resistance is in the title of the Small Group on Monday nights.

    Despite the "everyone is welcome at their own pace" promises, it sure didn't feel that way; groups were divided by ability, which assured that all the old, fat people were together, which was not terribly motivating. I expected more resistance training, as the name suggested, and that's not really what the focus was. Great for people who are already in shape and just looking for some company, just not my cup of tea. Glad I went, but that's not how I want to spend 3 hours of my precious Saturdays.

      First of all it's free... Second it's free... Third it's free! Now the groups are divided so you are among peers, people similar to your level - it is up to you to push yourself as much as you want... Based on your compliant, I'm sure you're someone that would complain no matter what and if you would have been with a more advanced group would have been upset that they made you feel uncomfortable.... I am sorry that you didn't get the comradery that most of us have got and continue to come back for... But I know I speak for more than just myself, the group is great, the workout is great and May is aMAYzing... Good luck finding another workout group and great bunch of people that push and encourage each other... Lastly it's FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

      Sorry Sharon that this was not a fit for you. This is a total body workout that involves weight lifting and there is resistance in weight lifting of your body. You are resisting gravity when you carry your body weight. If you believe that you should have been with an advance group, you should have let me know. I would have put you with a more advance. I categorize people based on what I see of their physical ability. I don't want someone to feel inferior because they don't have the physical fitness in an advance group. This is all about working out together and supporting each other through a challenging workout. You may have been confused with Boot Camp and our Monday night Resistance Stretching If should join us again, I will for sure place you in the advance group. In the meantime, you have a good day!
