I often meet well traveled people when I'm in big cities. I'm curious to see what type of traveling community we have in Santa Barbara. We are a town full of non-profits, so I'm curious to see if this translates in international interests as well.
Nicaragua later this month then hopefully Iceland later in the year to visit my Spanish host siblings (I call them my brother and sister trans-atlantico). I still keep in touch with them and am hoping we can make this reunion happen.
Alicante, Spain to study the Spanish language and economy. 4 months in South America. In total I've visited 27 countries (if you count the Vatican as one and discount a few Eastern European countries I passed through on train, but never stopped).
My Junior year abroad was my first extended trip outside the US. I lived in Alicante, Spain for 1 year. In 2011 I took a sabbatical from my corporate America job to carry out a long held interest in microfinance. I hope to inspire others to go.
