  • Practice evening - "Shouting at the Deaf - metaphor structure and therapeutic intervention."

We are delighted to be hosting a practice evening with Andrew T Austin, renowned hypnotherapist, best selling author of "The Rainbow Machine-Tales from a Neurolinguists Journal" and developer of Integral Eye Movement Therapy and Metaphors of Movement.

Watch a video with Andy about Metaphors of Movement here

Here my interview with Andy here

NLP practitioners are usually very good at matching sensory modalities, Master Practitioners are very good at pacing modalities and leading into sensory overlap.  NLP trainers, one would hope, are able to pace, lead and overlap submodalities.  However, how many NLPers are able to pace and lead the logical structure of their clients reasoning and problem solving ability? All the information is there, we just have to know how and what to listen for.  So often it gets missed.  The client expresses it perfectly, but no one hears.

They might as well be shouting at the deaf.In this introduction to his body of work entitled, Metaphors of Movement, Andrew T. Austin will demonstrate how to hear the exact structure of the client's problem and how to design a specific and exact intervention that doesn't rely on a set routine of applied techniques in the hope that one will work.

    About Andrew Austin
