The Buffalo Live-Food Community Message Board › New Meetup: March Live Food Potluck and Raffle
Announcing a new Meetup for Buffalo Live-Food Meetup!
What: March Live Food Potluck and Raffle
When: Sunday, March 28, 2010 4:00 PM
Where: Snyder Holistic Center - 4511 Main near Harlem
Hello live-foodists and health seekers,
We're having a live-food 'stuff' raffle this time after dinner (like the book raffle we had six months ago). This includes ANYTHING of interest to live-fooders - books (including spiritual/self-help books), kitchen appliances, exercise equipment, home made live foods, holistic health services, etc... so bring any items you want to offer, or a description of the item if not convenient to bring on Sunday.
Participation is optional, you can join the fun if you want! We've got some cool stuff already, including certificates for yoga classes, a colonic session with Linda Tyczka, a shopping trip with Aaron at the Co-op, a weight set, great books, and other goodies!
Whatever money we earn will be put towards whatever we want..you decide!
We're looking for ideas regarding what you would like to do together as a group. Want to take a field trip...want to do a specific live-food demo/workshop, please let us know.
The Snyder Holistic Center is right near the intersection of Main St. and Harlem Rd. at 4511 Main, and there is parking in the back. Along with your organic live-vegan (uncooked/no animal-based products) dish to share, please bring a reusable plate and silverware, and make sure to bring a serving utensil for your dish. Bring the recipe if you can!
For anyone who has never been to a live-food potluck or this is your first time coming to a meetup, we understand the idea of preparing a healthy dish without cooking might be a little overwhelming. We are very compassionate to this and are happy to guide you in preparing an awesome dish. Please reach out to myself (516)729-6269, Donna Dudek, or Toni Vandyke and we can discuss some ideas and offer suggestions. If this still seems like a bit much, you can bring some fruit, but we ask that it be organic (if this is new to you please call for information on where to buy organic produce). We would rather have you share in this experience without preparing than have you not come, so stick to whatever is comfortable for you. Regardless of the number of RSVPs, we usually expect ~22 people.
Hope you can come enjoy it with us!
