Lots of raw vegan food is brightly colored and full of enzymes when left raw. Once you cook them you kill the enzymes and food loses most of its potency. All PASTURIZED items kill the enzymes in food. Things that are pasturized is juice, milk, everything that is sold in stores that need refrigeration. That is why you eat as much food RAW as possible. One delicious substitute for milk is Almond Breeze or Silk and Original less sugar in it. Berries should be Organic because of all the Pesticides sprayed on Berries not organic. Juicing is great and you get the full potential of the fruit and vegetables in the RAW state. The Juice goes into your cells, detoxifies your cells, nourishes them, increases your immune system and fights off anything foreign that attacks your body, like cancer, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, etc. Everybody is at different levels. The Thanksgiving Dinner is always delicious! Tons of food, you can't even fit it all on your plate. Also usually is a fundraiser. Usually at the Unitarian Church on Main St near ECCN. It is worth going to.
