Sunday Pier 2 Dock Paddle!

This is the first of this summer. Our friends with Leapfrog Fitness are the organizers of this cool trip. We will paddle from the beach at the City of Naples Pier at 6:45 a.m south along the Gulf's shore line to Gordon's Pass. We usually stop there for a moment to catch up and then we head into Gordon's Pass up the bay to The Dock restaurant. We then put up our boards and enjoy a refreshment and great food to end the journey.
This is a ONE WAY trip and takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. The proximity by land of the Dock Restaurant and The Naples Pier make this really convenient to park your vehicle at one place or the other and easily retrieve your vehicle.
This is also FREE with your own board (food and drinks at the Dock are at your expense). If you need a board. One can be reserved at $35 for this event. If by chance I do not have availability for boards; there are 2 other companies that are providing rentals for this as well.
Last year we had 44 paddlers for one of these. They are becoming one of the most popular paddling activities to do in the area.
Can we get 50 paddlers??
Kayaks are welcome too!
I hope you can join us.!

Hey crew, i had a chat with one of the fishing charter captain tonight who pulled out his Navionics iPhone app. He said we need to make it through Gordon Pass before 8:15, after that it'll get rough. But whoever needs to can always walk around. :) Looking forward to it.

So. You that are bringing own boards...will pull to the pier, drop gear and park. Try to be early if possible. See you Sunday!

Second reminder of the day. When parking, please either par in the pier parking lot or near the Dock restaurant. They have asked that we please DO NOT park IN FRONT of the restaurant.
    That's all.

Hi All. Please remember that in accordance with Coast Guard Regulations you must have a life vest and whistle on the board or on your person while navigating outside of a "swim/surf zone". We will be outside of that zone when we enter Gordon's Pass.
If you rented a board from me for this event, you are covered.
    Thanks,
    Jim

What? LOL...noooo. It's a very mellow paddle. There were a few first timers last year that did it.

    Hi all,
I am out of boards for this event. Please contact Naples Paddleboard at 239+601+2700. Tell them Beach Bum sent you. If they run out, we have another company that will provide boards. Same price.
    Thanks,
    Jim
