Blue Heron Bridge Photo Dive

The waters beneath Blue Heron Bridge are listed as number one of the top 50 dives in the United States by Sport Diver magazine.  Just a few minutes drive north at exit 76 on Interstate 95, this spectacular site is available to us for the cost of an air fill and some traveling gas.  Even the parking is free.

The site is best seen at high tide, so most divers enter the water no sooner than one hour before that time.  Thursday's scheduled high tide is 1:20pm, so a 12:15pm meet time allows for pre-dive briefing and gearing up prior to water entry no later than 12:45pm This is an excellent dive for an Advanced Open Water photo training dive.  Those interested in Advanced certification can make prior arrangements with Tom.

This is an excellent dive for beginners because maximum depth is 18 feet but care must be taken for shifting currents.  If you have a dive camera, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity because the variety of marine life is phenomenal.  One biologist counted over 300 species from sea horses to manatee during their survey.

Picnic tables, fresh water showers, a cleaning station, and clean restrooms are available on site.
