The Better Block Five Points events extended from Sonny Lawson Park to Blair-Caldwell African-American Research Library to the Black America West Museum on and near Welton Street. The weekend of May 4th, a week before the May 11th event, folks from the Better Block Five Points group prepared flower planters to decorate the Sonny Lawson Park. During the Saturday, May 11th event day, there additional were activities on upper Larimer St and City Park in Denver.

I'll be helping out at the Black America West Museum since they have become a part of the Better Blocks event!! We had a GREAT time there on April 20th, the museum's first celebration of Earth Day! Their Better Blocks program is an upgrade of that!!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
