becoming there is a reading group focused on developing critical positions within graphic design. We have weekly meetings in public spaces across central London where we develop our appreciation and understandings of typography, graphic design, technology, and creativity. We want to develop not only graphic designers appreciation for theory but to demonstrate the value of graphic design to theorists. Suitable for post-graduate students, interns, professional graphic designers, coders, typographers, illustrators, writers, printers, photographers, interested in developing their critical position. Some knowledge and interest in theory/history would be an advantage, but not a necessity. The group is directed by a friendly and approachable university lecturer/graphic designer who assists in making the theoretical ideas meaningful and applicable for developing practice.
