Do you find yourself walking through the aisles of your local beer store, wandering aimlessly about with little direction, overwhelmed with the ever-expanding craft beer optionsH? ow about taking forever when checking out the tap list at your local establishment, only to fall back on the mass-produced variety? Well I'm here to say that we can get through this together! This group is dedicated to those who appreciate beer. Doesn't matter if you are just getting into the craft scene, or brew your own beer at home, all are welcomed. The only prerequisites are that you must enjoy beer, enjoy responsibly, and of the legal drinking age of 21 or older. The plan is to meet up at local establishments in the Greater Philly area for tasting events, tap takeovers, brewery tours, beer fests, home brew lessons, and other suggestions that provide us an opportunity to share the love of good beer. I look at this group for a way to have fun with friendly people, meet fellow aficionados, and expand my knowledge of all things beer! *Only open to responsible adults.
For the fairness of all members and accommodation for our team leaders, you're required to provide an UP CLOSE & VISIBLE photo of you-yourself. There are some exceptions. Group photos, cartoon characters, pictures of your favorite bar, outdoor scenery, and the like are unacceptable. This is to be your primary photo which will help organizers & hosts greet you when you arrive at any of our events. It also helps members meetup.
Also, we would like members to say yes WHEN they mean yes and not change it into a no. Things do come up at uncertain times, especially within a few hours before the event starts. If any member switches from Yes To No and doesn't specify a reason with the event host/hostess &/or the event page, that member will be removed from Beer Wise. It's not fair to hold events and then those who sign up as a yes change their mind and turn to no. It embarrases the event host(ess) & venue itself.
