This is a repeat of Session I, for those who have joined since it was conducted, of those who could not make the first session. These sessions will probably have fewer people than the originals, but cover all the same material with more individual attention. We need a minimum of six persons to hold the class. The original course description is included below.
This is the first in a eight to ten part series designed to bring a beginner to an advanced level of photography, by understanding photographic basics, their camera, lenses, natural light, composition, landscape, macro, portraits, on/off camera flash, and studio strobes. The $20 fee covers instruction, printed materials, projector rental and room charges. Anyone who attends all three classes on the 23rd will receive a $15 discount after the final class.
The session will include a fundamental understanding of the photographic process and the camera itself. Attendees will learn how the lens, shutter, iris, viewfinder and sensor interact, as well as the relationship between ISO, shutter speed and aperture. There will be a review of the images submitted under the August topic, "Something Beautiful."
Attendees will receive the Learning Photography notebooks as well as complete written notes of the topics covered at this meeting.
To secure a space, click RSVP, and pay the $20 class charge using Paypal or credit card. Refunds are available if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance.
