Although I'm not available in February, it is a perfect time to visit and photograph at the Slate Run Metro Park. This historical landmark has been restored to the conditions under which farms operated in the 1800's. It has been authentically restored and includes a farm house with all the period furnishings (inside is closed in Feb, but they may open it for us if our group is large), a beautiful red barn and all the outbuildings and animals. If we have snow on the ground, there are some great shots for next year's Christmas cards.
I'll have more detail later on the timing and arrangements, and I would like to have one or two volunteers who can be the on-site coordinators in my absence. You can see and learn more about the park and the farm at: http://www.metroparks.net/ParksSlateRunFarm.aspx
If you are looking for a chance to get some fresh air and some great photo ops, this is the answer in February.
