Chinese-Expat Beer Swap

Beer swap event: this is our 1st official joint Chinese-Expat Beijing Homebrewing Society gathering.

It will be held Saturday 3-5pm September 7th to coincide with the Chinese homebrewing meeting.

Venue: NBeer

Directions: Ping An Li, from Exit B (subway line 4) walk 20m and turn right on Hu Guo Si, walk 300 m and see Hu Guo Xin Tian on left. Go in big building, bar is on the 1F.

Beer Swap Details:
Bring your homebrew (preferred) or favorite commercial beer (also good!) and receive tickets to swap for as many beers. Larger bottles are a 1 for 1 swap as well. To make the event fun and interactive, please be prepared to introduce your beers (in English or Chinese!)

Bottle size Beer equivalents
Small [masked] ml) = 1 beer
Medium (500 - 650 ml) = 2 beers
1 Liter Growlers / IKEA bottle = 3 beers

    Odd as it may seem: meeting the Chinese home brewers was something of a culture shock, but in an amusing and positive way. I'm looking forward to the next Homebrewers festival...

    I can't find a Hu guo hutong there, do you mean hu guo si jie?

      yeah it's huguosi, very easy to find. the hutong entrance is directly opposite an amazing yunnan restaurant called cha meizi, if you're pekish beforehand. there's also lots of traditional snack shacks on the hutong itself as well.
