Let’s enjoy the spirit of fall with a 1 hour hay ride and pot luck dinner in the open stable area, and bonfire. We have gotten a permit to have alcohol for this event so please drink sensibly. This offers a great chance to bond with each other, tour through Fair Hill’s scenic fields, woods and the wonderful fall colors and then back to the barn for a bonfire and make smores and some good home cooking.
-The cost will be $5.00 per person for the hay ride and will start at 4:00.
-We will arrive back to the barn at 5:00 (the sun should be setting around this time) for the potluck and bonfire.
-You may bring your choice of drink (BYOB or beer) with you on the hayride as well.
-Family is invited so the RSVP maximum number you can have join us has been increased.
-As we get closer to the date I will be sending out an email for you to sign up for the dish you will be brining to the pot luck (I will have the stuff for the smores).
The barn was once a foxhunting barn owned by William DuPont, and you can still see the dog kennels the hounds used to stay in right next to the barn. The area we will have for the pot luck will have tables, lights and be out of the elements and cleaned for the autumn feast.
This event will be cross posted on the Bel Air, White Marsh and Cecil and Harford County Outdoor Enthusiast Meetup.
