1-1:15 Community Vision
1:15-3:15 Work Projects
-Remove honeysuckle from area near the kiosk
-Clear the vegetation that is hiding a beautiful old farm stonewall
-Liberate a few old farm apple trees from multiflora rose
-Prepare the ground for planting berry and hazelnut bushes in spring
-Photographing our good time and progress (We often forget this.)
3:15 - 3:30 Clean up, put away tools, arrange food
3:30 Circle Greeting and Thank You
3:35 Potluck and appreciation of the day's work (We never forget this.)
Things to bring:
1) You, in yard work clothes. Also, some volunteers will get to work with multiflora rose and if you want this task, you will want extra sturdy clothes and gloves. Others will want solid gloves for working with the honeysuckle or other plants.
2) Helpful tools, include long-handled loppers, handsaws, a few shovels. (Label the tools that you want to bring home!)
3) Potluck dish to share (optional). We always have plenty, so come, even if you can’t bring something.
4) Your potluck kit (plate, bowl, silverware, cup.) Bring your own full water bottle or beverages. Lawn chairs.
