Wine Tasting Pot Luck

Hello Guys:

Heather Dunn is nice enough to host a Wine Potluck.  Jon and I will not be able to attend so Heather is the organizer on this one!  It sounds like a lot of fun and I wish we could attend!

Below are the event details from Heather:

Wine tasting is great, but it's even better when the people sharing their favorite wines are the people whose opinions you share the most! What better way to do that, than to have a pot luck of our favorite wines. How it works - you bring a bottle of your favorite wine, as does anyone else attending. While tasting the wine we can all share what we love about it, what we serve it with, and enjoy good times with friends. If you're feeling extra daring, bring that little appetizer that you know pairs perfectly with your wine choice!

The event will be held in my Condo Complex entertaining room which is indoors and air conditioned.

Please bring:

-  1 bottle of wine, your choice

-  A glass for each attendee.

Parking:
- Building parking: Parking in the building is on a first come, first serve basis.  The parking is secured by a gate, and requires me to provide you access.  Please let me know ahead of time if you prefer building parking so that I can add you to a visitors list.

- Street Parking: There are about 10 spots on the street for parking.  Street parking is metered until 9pm.

- Passport: The passport is a public transportation system through Long Beach and Belmont shores.  Most of the routes drop off outside of the 488 E Tower (near the corner of Ocean and Linden) as our building is on the Grand Prix track.  The passport costs $1.50, which is probably cheaper than gas and makes for a great Designated Driver.

It was very interesting to see what everyone brought, there were some wines that I would have overlooked at the grocery store. It was also great to enjoy the great spread of cheese and fruits that people brought. Thank you all for attending!

My building is the EAST Tower, 488 E Ocean Blvd which is closest to Elm. For those of you walking or taking the passport: The building spans from Linden to Elm on Ocean. The Front Door of the building is on the Elm side, you can't miss it. Once you come in the front, you will see the concierge and the club room. The event will be in the club room. If you have any issues, the concierge will be able to assist you in finding the Club Room. For those of you who are parking in the building: The guest parking access is on Linden. It is the lowest parking level, closest to Seaside (grand prix track). Dial the Concierge, tell them your name, and let them know you are here for the event in the club room. They will open the gate and allow you in. Take the elevator to the G floor. Off the elevator, walk towards the main entrance. You will see the club room. Again, if you have any issues the concierge will be able to assist you.

Helen, I've taken passport many times... but does it run late enough at night?

Yes - Here's the schedule, it appears that routes A and D have sufficient evening schedules. http://www.lbtransit....

The passport route A and D both have a stop at Ocean and Linden which is right outside my building. I just double checked, it runs well beyond 11pm, so you should be fine. It is free through downtown, or $1.25 through Belmont Shores. The ride from Belmont to Downtown (my condo) is about 20 - 25 minutes depending on traffic.

Hey Guys! So excited that there's so much interest in this event. I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Just a note on the parking: Parking in the building is on a first come, first serve basis. The parking is secured by a gate, and requires me to provide you access. Please let me know ahead of time if you prefer building parking so that I can add you to a visitors list. Thanks, and I look forward to seeing you there.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
