I am now applying the new knowledge gained from
this presentation by the jobs/business acquisition
expert teaching duo: Ardell Fleeson and Robert
Brandau. Of particular import to my career is their
admonition to find, identify, and show up where and
when the persons whom I want to meet shall be in
attendance. Fee-based events have more potential for
my business relationship success than free
opportunities. Know what I want to say, and to whom,
and practice saying my own words.

A tool I've found really useful for job searching is HubSpot's Signals.

It's a Gmail plugin that tells you when someone opens your email; that way you can tell if they're still considering you or not! Another tool I like is Yesware which is similar, but I like Signals better.

Powerful! Ardell Fleeson is an absolute Gem to BJSP, its members, and the community! Ardell gave an excellent presentation about the '3-tiered statement', substantiating to her point that the 'elevator pitch' is out! Another prime take-away was Ardell's sound advice on networking, teaching everyone 'how' and 'where' to network. Robert Brandau's story about 'writing your own job description for something you want to do' is also a great concept to use to learn more about yourself and where you want to go in your career. When combined, Ardell's and Robert's lessons can help shine the light on how you 'fit' in an organization, accentuating on the 'how can I help you?' aspect through a discovery of how your expertise and skill set could potentially resolve the interested company's 'single biggest challenge' and therefore add more value to the organization's resume. Excellent forum -- thanks BJSP and all supporters!
