The Recruiters Panel was a great opportunity to gain the perspective of three very experienced recruiters. Each gave an overall presentation, we had opportunity to network with them individually, and we were divided into three group sessions each led by one of the recruiters where we had an opportunity to benefit from the questions asked by other BJSP. This was a very worthwhile event. BJSP is great way to meet and network with professional colleagues.

This was the first time attending the group and it was very nice. I learned so much from this meeting. I am a recent grad and finding the right position has been very difficult but attending this meetup has given the push I needed to reach my goal.

Great presentation. I reconfirmed something very important to job seekers. As we bring different perspectives to job seeking, the three recruiters presented different perspectives on how they did recruiting. It is not a one size fits all process.

First class networking event. The meeting had a balanced and engaging agenda, which shined due to the expertise and wisdom of the those leading the meeting ... and the quality of the group in the room. Thank you for all of the stories, helpful ideas and practical suggestions. Taking lots of action on the notes today! I made many new friends and very much believe that we will help each other through this "adventurous" and exciting time!

This was my first time attending the group’s meeting.

I highly recommend that you (executive office to front line individuals) attend a BJSP event. Just do it!

I walked into a healthy sized attended environment of career professionals that are serious about educating themselves on how to brand and present themselves as they go about finding what is professionally important to them. Those I met innately understand how important it is to assist others knowing that by doing so it will help them in the future. The three expert speakers at this meeting provided the group with more than just common sense advice; they provided insights and stories that mid to high level management job seekers seek when interacting with the online application processes as well as with internal and external recruiters --- and more. This was by far the best and most efficient educational and networking use of my time as I go about considering the different career opportunities available to me.

Very engaging and informative session today (my first) - and wonderful folks all around. If you missed it, two of my juicier notes:
    - DON'T put your LinkedIn URL on your resume. Why give the recruiter the oppty to be distracted? If they want to find you on the web they will anyway.
    - Good headlines for e-mails that get read: "E-mail or phone?" or "Schedule and appointment?"
    Good luck!

Thanks. Encouraging stories, helpful suggestions and ideas, and great networking/interchange opportunities. I especially like the way you used the breakout groups with each recruiter to maximize the smaller group character despite a large turnout. I thought it was a very productive morning.

Again, I have to hand it to Robert Brandau and BJSP's for hosting such a fine event. I am a firm believer in the old adage,"Practice Makes Perfect". The more networking one does, the more comfortable he/she becomes with the whole process. I have attended two events so far and just by listening to others, I have learned a tremendous amount of information. By talking to others about myself, I have been able to develop my elevator pitch. Great service and caring volunteers.

    v/r,
    Ron Grannis
