Writing Resumes which Recruiters Want to Read

Recruiters get inundated with resumes. Typically a recruiter spends about 3 seconds per resume. Unless your resume is written so that it is easy for a recruiter to read, your resume could easily be overlooked.

There is a methodology which you can follow which will increase the likelihood of your resume getting read thoroughly by recruiters. The BJSP leaders know of situations where this methodology actually was responsible for a candidate getting a great job offer.

We will be teaching this resume writing methodology. If you bring your resume on a flashdrive, we should be able to it up on the computer screen and look at it in detail.

Events at the Microsoft Store's Training Center require business causal attire. However, many people do dress up as if they are headed to a professional job interview.

Often, BJSP attendees meet at 7:00 AM at Panera Bread in Tyson's Mall prior to this event.

All BJSP seminars are presented free to job seekers.

This was an excellent opportunity to receive individualized feedback on resumes. Robert gave us great insights into what recruiters look for in resumes and the dos and don'ts of resume presentation. I highly recommend this session to all job seekers.

Robert provided useful insights about pressures faced by a recruiter in reviewing resumes. He helped me understand how vital the first few lines of the resume are and how readable they need to be. He also provided formatting tips. Thank you, Robert.

Sorry that I'm unable to make this morning's Meetup after all. I apologize for the late change in my RSVP.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
