Karla, I just joined the group. Not sure the policy- just throwing it out there. I actually own 2 sea kayaks. Let me know of I should bring one for you. You are more than welcome to borrow it for the meet up. I got everything you need for they water. Question to all. If rains- is there a rain date?

Well, darn - I just had a fall on a rutted sidewalk and fractured an elbow, so I'm grounded from kayak for a while, but I might go ahead and drop by to meet some fellow kayakers.

Dennis,
You have not made it clear if we can rent kayaks. I do not think one can attned this event unless they own a kayak. There is only rentals of kayaks in Sausalito. Please confirm. Looks like unless you bring your own kayak you will not be able to participate!

Dennis Keich GarrisonEvent HostOrganizerWasn't sure how the weather would turn out. It started a bit iffy, cloud cover, then blue skies, then more clouds. We got out on the kayaks around 12 noon. Wind was low, skies were blue! Charlotte brought an extra kayak, that was put to use by Glen, I had an extra kayak that Jonathan used. It was a beautiful paddle along the Tiburon shoreline, we followed the current back into Paradise Cay Yacht Harbor, Bar B Qued some hot dogs, ate chicken, a couple of great salads, and wrapped it up with some yummy cookies and cocoa almonds. It was an absolutely wonderful day to kayak the San Francisco Bay! The only thing that didn't make this event better was the low turn-out. 30+ people signed up, 5-6 cancelled the night before or the day of, leaving 24 people to get together and enjoy the time together. That's too bad, many people missed out. Bob at Seatrek Kayaks in Sausalito offers Belvedere Tiburon Meetup folks a 10% discount on kayak rentals. [masked]
