Trail work party at The Maston this Sunday

We all enjoy the trails that we bike and hike on, how often to we get to show some love back? Let's start off the season off with helping Central Oregon Trail Alliance (COTA) with some trail building out at The Maston! This complex lies just to the south off Eagle Crest Resort of Cline Falls highway. Beautiful high desert terrain with awesome views of Smith Rocks and the Cascades. If you haven't been there, this would be a good time to explore the area while giving back to our community of trail lovers.

We will meet at Cascade Village Mall Starbucks to car pool and leave at 9:30am. You are welcome to meet us at Juniper trail head.

The following was posted on Facebook today:

Thank you everyone that came out for trail work at Maston. We put in approx. 3/4 mile of new trail today...can't wait to ride it in the future. Job well done!

I'll be coming with a friend. Only question is should we bring some tools? I think we have a pulaski laying around.

Can't make it this time, but I think trail work is a noble thing to do and another great way to get exercise. Hope you plan another one!

Sorry for the short notice everyone. This time of year COTA is watching the freeze/thaw cycle and does trail work when conditions at there best. Technically it is still winter...it's great to have the opportunity to get some trail work done this time of year. I'm sure any help will be appreciated!
