It is so sad to hear that David has passed away. I can't believe he is gone. I was with him on his last meetup ride to Swamp Wells, and he was complaining of not having much energy and not feeling well. He was definitely a great guy, and I will miss him. I would like to go on a ride in his memory.

Maybe do a memorial ride in the ride that turned out I be David's last- Bens to the bottom of Whoops and return on Kent's? Day and time? Any ideas?

He had been organizing Friday and Wednesday rides; it would be appropriate on one of those days.

    Dear Friends of David Minton,

I am very sad to have to say this but David passed away today. All I know is that he was out biking and may have had a heart attack. He will be greatly missed. He biked, skied, hiked and socialized with us since Dec 2010 and attended 76 meetups and many more with other meetup groups. He was a kind, generous, cheerful and good natured man.

I have cancelled his future events. If the bikers would like to do a ride in his memory than please let me know and I can help arrange it. Bonnie has offered to lead a ride if there is interest.

    RIP David!

I really admire how David lived the last four years of his life. He bike not only Bend, but several months down-under. I hope this group will continue in the nice-and-easy manner, which is how David lived every day of his life.

Great ride, (Thanks, Dave!) but unfortunately, I couldn't find Brother Jon's for the after ride brew even though I drove right past it. (Found it on the Internet after I got home.) I will be better prepared next time.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
