Great Century ride with Ben, Kevin. And Barb. My left derailer shifting cable broke at 79 mile mark and only .5 miles from my home. It was an hour before I got going again but the 'pit' crew was awesome and fixed it for me. Needless to say I was one of the last 8 people coming off the course and things were shutting down. Ben and Kevin waited for me which was way cool and Ben sat with me for final scraps from lunch. I became known as the 'Cable Guy' by the support crews who kept checking on me. Awesome support for the race!

Ben, I fell asleep seeing you, Kevin, Barb (MaryPat), and Chris. I saw you drinking fancy coffee while leisurely cruising by leaning on your aero bars, MaryPat said "hi" for a casual chat while she steadily rode by on her way from Iowa non-stop to Tibet, and I was looking at Kevin's wheel and rear hub with that red detail while distracted by the beautiful snow covered mountain views, desert landscapes in between, and lush alfalfa smelling fields. Consistently, Chris was there too, always around sharing friendly common experiences. Great ride!

Great dream, Ben. I could see MaryPat riding all the way to Tibet! One of the best centuries that I've done. Magnificent scenery and a definite sense of a journey with friends. Enjoyed it immensely. . .

I ended up doing the 75 miler by myself after meeting up with the group before the start at the designated place. It was not clear to me what the plan was. I thought everyone went back to the start to ride together. It was so crowded I couldn't find any of the BACE riders there. I still enjoyed doing the ride but I didn't get to ride with anyone in the group as I had intended.

I did the 50 miler and had a really great ride with beautiful roads , great course markings, met some very gracious people. Terrifically organized event that might have been nice also to have done with BACE riders as a group .. Just a thought.

I remember one time it was the weekend after STP. After riding 200 miles the TDC 75 was a cake walk :D (this was before the century option)
