Warmer and drier weather is on the horizon, so let's get in another "Cross Tour" ride that will include paved road, fireroad and singletrack. From Tumalo Coffee House, we'll meander via Tumalo and Twin Bridges Roads to Maston for a loop around the singletrack. We'll then return via Cline Falls Rd to Tumalo. We can gather for a post ride lunch at El Caporal Mexican Restaurant on Cook Rd. This ride could include wet conditions, cinder/snow covered pavement, mud, ice or ?? A 'cross bike should be ideal for these conditions, but a mountainbike would also be suitable. Road or fat bikes would not be appropriate.
Weather can be variable at this time of year so plan accordingly and check back on this site for changes to the ride or cancellation due to storm.
The predicted high temp for Sunday ranges from 43 to 50, depending on the source, so be prepared. Err on the side of warmth with your hands and feet. If you don't have winter shoes use warm shoe covers. If you wear something a little light make it your coat, but bring an extra. Please review Gary's tips for winter riding and pack accordingly (see Discussion page)
