Let's ride up to the first picnic table on the Peterson Ridge Trails! We've packed down the trails and the riding is great! We'll ride a total of 10.9 miles and ascend 866 feet. After the ride, we can grab some lunch and/or a beer at Three Creeks Brewery which provides us with a perk of a discounted first beer.
Nothing better than creating our own single tracks! Let's keep packing down the trail to keep us riding out there all winter if possible.
As we start to ride in the colder weather we all need to take a few extra precautions and be prepared for problematic situations. Bring a phone and have in mind someone who you could call if needed. My number is[masked], please add it to your phone prior to the ride so that you can call me if you have a mechanical issue! Bring hand warmers, food, and a basic survival kit. Wear lots of layers. Wear winter/specific clothing. Err on the side of warmth with your hands and feet. If you don't have winter shoes use warm shoe covers. If you wear something a little light make it your coat, but bring an extra. Please review Gary's tips for winter riding and pack accordingly (see Discussion page)
Bike Rating: Intermediate; IMBA More Difficult (Blue) due to snow. http://files.meetup.com/7699322/IMBA%20Trail%20Difficulty.jpg
