Update: Not enough snow at Edison due to warm weather. We'll be doing the Swampy loop instead so we don't have to go all the way to Dutchman and try to park.
Wearing Green is encouraged...gift certificate waiting for us at Cascades Lake Brewery.
Let's get some cross training in during a full moon. (It's one day earlier but this will be close enough) We'll carpool up to Swampy Sno- Park and do the long snow shoe (~4 miles) loop at a brisk pace followed by a beer at Cascade Lakes Brewery. Please remember you will need a sno park pass if you are parking at Swampy. Please carry a light as the moon may not give off enough light if the weather is poor or if we are in thick trees. Also, review Gary's list for items to carry on winter rides/snowshoes/skis which are listed on the discussion page. As always, we'll abide by the 5 minute rule so don't be late!
Since this is a training event, we will keep moving and will not plan on building a fire in the shelter unless required for safety reasons. We aim to keep our heartbeats up the entire snow shoe!
Please check back on this site to see if there are any changes due to weather or snow conditions prior to heading out to the meet-up!
Rating: Intermediate-due to quick pace and night limitations.
