Flagline XC ski

Let's get some more cross training in.  We'll need to do a car shuttle so please keep your RSVP's up to date and cancel EARLY if you can't make it.

Flagline trail is an approximate 10 mile ski on intermediate terrain.  We will go at a medium pace and will plan on a brief stop once along the way for refueling.  Since this is a rather long ski, it is not for beginners or for anyone who hasn't skied much this season.  If conditions are icy I would recommend skis with metal edges and would highly recommend that everyone carry wax in case the snow warms up and sticks to your ski bottoms.

Please check back on this site to see if there are any changes due to weather or snow conditions prior to heading out to the meet-up! If the conditions are not great for skiing I'll most likely cancel this and schedule a snow shoe or bike ride instead.

If it is unusually cold, please plan on bringing something warm to drink at the break and always review Gary's list of winter riding/skiing/snow shoe essentials.

Great group and weather! Fresh dusting of snow over hardback. Thanks to Mike for his eagle eyes, Joyce for her trail leading and knowledge and everyone else for taking turns being the first to plow through the fresh snow. Will post pics when this site is working better..can't seem to do it yet.

Looks like we will have great conditions with a little fresh snow: High near 32. East wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
