Let's see what Mother Nature has in store for April Fools...conditions favorable for skiing or perhaps snow shoeing or both! We'll plan on leaving from the Nordic Center and skiing or snow shoeing to Todd Lake and back (~5 miles). Metal edges may be required for skiers and the ski will change into a mandatory snow shoe event if I think it is too icy for a safe ski.
Lights will be mandatory although I don't anticipate needing them. Please check back on this site to see if there are any changes due to weather or snow conditions prior to heading out to the meet-up! Please indicate in your RSVP if you are only ski or only snow shoe. I anticipate that perhaps we can have two groups heading out at the same time with two leaders. If the conditions are not great for skiing I'll cancel the ski and we'll only do a snow shoe. The pace will be intermediate and we won't be stopping much at all as this is a cross training event.
If it is unusually cold, please plan on bringing something warm to drink at Todd Lake and always review Gary's list of winter riding/skiing/snow shoe essentials.
