Last Call for directional trails

This picture is from Wednesday on Ben's. There were some puddles but not really any mud. Based on the forecast I am expecting excellent conditions for this ride. I will continue to monitor and advise.

This ride we will ride up Phil's and down Ben's for potentially the last time ever. I am going to call this an intermediate/advanced ride mostly because of the distance, we will ride from the brewery. Figure 2-2.5 hrs of riding. I am saying 5:15 as a start time for this ride, I would like it if we could be riding by 5:15 so we can finish with a little time before needing lights but you might want to bring one if you have one. Not mandatory. I want this ride to be accessible. The pace should be moderate, and we will wait periodically to regroup. Bring your cameras to this rare occasion. Maybe we should all wear black to mourn:)

Afterwards we have dinner and drinks at the brewery...and celebrate the times we had with these trails...

Ok final update. Things are looking good. I rode the route today and here are the files. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/473090039 http://www.strava.com/activities/126729471 And I have a blog where I talked about it a bit. https://www.facebook.com/durtsurf So, again try to be ready to ride by 5:15. Check your tires now, make sure they are holding air. There is a possibility the restaurant may be busy but I think we will just take our chances and if there is a problem we will just figure it out then. It's gonna be a great day!

So I would love to join y'all however I blew up my rear wheel and don't think I'll have a replacement until Sat., aft. So why is this "potentially the last ride ever"?

    April 3, 2014

    • david b.

Dirk, COTA is making these two trails and one other in another area one way trails starting Saturday. So it is just the last time we will be able to do these trails in this direction.
