Let's help the Fat Bikers out by doing a snow shoe on a new trail out of Swampy Sno-Park. We'll carpool up to Swampy and then BACE member Marc Fortier will lead us on a ~4.4 mile snow shoe at an intermediate speed. Don't worry, we won't be climbing up Vista Butte, but we're sure to get a good cross training work out.
After the snow shoe we can visit Cascade Lakes Brewery for Taco Tuesday's cheap tacos and margaritas.
Lights will be mandatory although I don't anticipate needing them. Please check back on this site to see if there are any changes due to weather or snow conditions prior to heading out to the meet-up! The pace will be intermediate and we won't be stopping much at all as this is a cross training event.
*Rules of the Shoe*
No Plus 1’s. To participate in a BACE Meetup activity, you must be a member of the BACE Meetup Group and be RSVP’d “Yes” for that specific activity. All participants should be “self-sufficient” with their own food, hydration, and first aid supplies necessary for the activity. Shoeing activities may be significantly impacted by changing conditions (rain, snow, mud, road construction, etc.). Participants should monitor activities for cancellations or changes in location/route. Dogs are not permitted on this activity.
By signing up for this meetup, I agree to the following: Shoeing can be dangerous and cause serious bodily injury or even possibly death (really?). The organizers of this group and its’ members will not be held responsible for the actions of any participant at any event. Each participant attends an event at their own risk and is solely responsible for any damage to their equipment or themselves.
