Depending on trail conditions Sunday- we will meet at beginning of trail head off Century Drive and determine the best route to take. I would like to hike along the ridge then down towards the river to Meadow picnic area and back

Sophie is resting! Had a nice time, enjoyed meeting everyone & exploring/hiking the area together.

This was a fun hike! It was pretty icy and muddy in some spots, but we expected that after the weather we have had. This is a great hike to do if you want to get out, but don't have the whole day to devote to hiking (and driving). But apparently there are options to make a longer day hike out of it too, so that is great. The people were great and the dogs were all very sweet and got along well. They had a blast running and even swimming in the river.

The trailhead is at a small parking area off of Century Drive/cascade Lakes Hwy. Drive about 1/2 mile past the Entrada Lodge, look for parking area on your left.

I did this hike last Sunday-lots of space for the dogs to roam-lots of other dog owners and pets along the trail. This is a nice walk until snow conditions improve.

Hi Paula! I am so glad you are coming with us on this hike! Call me or text me at[masked] and I can give you detailed directions to the trailhead parking area. You won't need snowshoes, but dress in layers and wear boots or shoes with a good tread. Some parts of the trail may be muddy or icy depending on how cold it gets tonight.

Does anyone live in the SR area? This is a perfect hike to have a south group meet the Bend group. Just a thought as I don't drive back into town on weekends...maybe I just need to organize a Paulina hike, or Fall River Hike, or La Pine St Park hike...

I just met Susan and Marlena yesterday at the dog park (Riverbend?) and they told me about this group. I am so excited to join and hopefully get to do some events with you all. Do we need snowshoes for tomorrow's hike? I am thinking of going, but I haven't found my snowshoes yet.
