Fences for Fido will have a booth set up in Drake Park for the Old Fashioned 4th Of July. We will have information about what we do and we will have a kids activity. The activity is called "Painting for Pups" we will set up 8 dog houses, supply kid friendly paint, brushes and let their imaginations run free. We need a couple of folks who like kids to help our core group keep track of everything. Hours from 10:30-1:30 and 1:00 to 4. Email me if you think this sounds like a fun way to celebrate our freedom. Martha Nordbusch - [masked]
Fences for Fido (FFF) is a non-profit based in Portland. I have worked for 3 years to bring FFF to our side of the mountains and now that board member LaDonna Sullivan has moved here we are getting it up and running. FFF is an all volunteer group that frees dogs from their chains by building them a fence at no cost to their people. We supply more than a fence though we strive to improve the quality of life of every dog we meet by offering spay neuter, shots and other important medical help. We build and supply dog houses and beds as well. But most importantly we strive to educate people in a subtle manner of the importance of treating other animals with the respect and kindness that all of us need to live a decent life. Check out our website at fencesforfido.org to see some of the great work we do. If you love dogs, you will love FFF. Hope to meet you soon!
