I think this is our first Meetup with one of the four seasons as a theme, but, as usual, I’m suggesting we stretch ourselves. What does winter really mean to you? Do you think of snow and short daylight hours? Or skiing, snowshoeing and winter sports? Can you capture “cold” in a photo? What else does winter mean to you and how can you capture and share it in a photo?
Consider your subject, the composition and exposure. If snow is in the scene, expose accordingly. Crop and tweak your photos to improve on them. Try to avoid snapshots, unless you're doing that on purpose! Send up to three photos to me, as attachments to: [masked] Several emails might be necessary.
Large files look best on the screens we use. I will respond via email letting you know I received them. Please don’t wait till the last minute to send them. That seems to be when things go wrong and I don’t get them in time for the Meetup. Get them to me by Monday 6 PM on Monday. I will have no time on Tuesday to deal with incoming photos or the problems related to them!
Thanks to Jill for starting this idea with thoughts of snow.
