Announcing a new Meetup for Bend Photographers Group!

What: Birding at Summer Lake

When: Saturday, April 24,[masked]:00 AM

Price: $1.00 per person

320 SW Century Drive Suite 200
Bend, OR 97702

April is a great time of year for viewing the migratory birds that make their way through Oregon. The Summer Lake Basin is home to more than 250 species of birds--everything from bald eagles, swans, Canadian geese, yellow-headed blackbirds, red-tail hawks and many more.

Summer Lake is about two hours from Bend, and in order to get some good light, we'll need to start early (I know, I know!). Let's meet at the Starbucks off Century Drive (in the Safeway parking lot, not inside of Safeway) at 7:00 a.m. and then carpool from there.

Plan to bring your lunch and we can eat at the picnic areas around the lake. With drive time, we'll probably be back to Bend somewhere between 2:00-4:00 p.m., depending on how adventurous the group is feeling.

Cost: $1 to cover the Meetup fee, and a couple dollars for gas money would be nice for the people driving.
