RE: [ronpaul-1331] Shame on Scott Garrett

The Boston incident is also going to increase acceptance of the "camera society" we are becoming. There is an article in The Record today about that - the town of North Bergen alone has 100 suveillance cameras in different places. I don't know how we can stem the tide right now - bottom line is people have not reached the "violation" point yet , where they feel that they can't come and go as they place, or where the surveillance is somehow directly impacting their lives. That's what the average person cares about - not Constitutional principles, etc.
I think red light cameras are bit different - in that case people feel the government is trying to make money off of them, so there is more opposition.

Shame on Representative Scott Garrett 5th district, mr. so called  ''Conservative'' for voting in favor of Cispa.  People please call your  Senators and leave your message tonight or whenever. We hope that this  doesn't pass through the senate. It might not pass.   Neo-cons and  anti-constitutionalists such as representatives Peter King and Scott Garrett are  far from being conservative. Now unfortunately in the name of security the  Boston incident is being manipulated as leverage to make  more laws (thus expanding government) to allow warrentless spying  including infared imaging and searching with ease in order to ''secure our  safety'' whenever they get a mere hunch. And on top of this the famous bush term  'enemy combatant'' status is being promoted by the neo-cons.  We hope  that this Cispa bill doesn't pass through the congress. It  is expected that the majority of democrats will vote against it and we hope that  we have enough republicans to vote against it. Of course it is  expected that Mr. Moody angry John McCain will vote for it.  But we have  Rand Paul as a voice of reason against this bill.  If you haven't signed  petitions to Obama to veto the bill just incase it goes through please do  it.  Hope you are all well and hope that our liberty continues to be  preserved.
