Find peace. Find calm. Find hope....by walking the labyrinth at Grace North Church in Berkeley.
Lit by 97 candles, you walk the winding path while musicians perform songs from many world religions and traditions. All ages, walks of life, and faiths are welcome.
Did you know there is no wrong way to walk a Labyrinth? Walking the labyrinth, quiets the mind, for there is only one path in and one path out -- reminding us that even though life has many twists and turns, we always end up at center.
Hosted by Grace North Church in Berkeley, CA the Labyrinth Walk and Music Concert begins at 6pm. The folk musical group, the "Winding Way", includes voice and guitar, violin, piano, depending on the song selections. The stellar acoustics in the hall make this a remarkable musical Walk.
The Labyrinth design is based on the 13th Century Labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral, France. Casual, comfortable attire encouraged. Bring yourself, Bring friends, Bring Family.
Program: After a brief welcome, the music begins and is played for the entire hour while people are walking or sitting and listening.
Directions: Enter at 2138 Cedar Street, walk upstairs to the indoor Labyrinth. Handicapped access available. Grace North Church is located just one block from Shattuck St in the North Berkeley neighborhood--and so our guests often stop at one of their favorite eateries after walking the labyrinth.
