I've been attracted to this concept for a long time, curious to find out more.
Hi Tim, you bring up a great point. Would be interesting to do a language runtime roundup to see where we are at today. Generally speaking, most full stack runtimes are 5MB or more (Java is like a whale in size). What it comes down to is how much should the runtime platform offer and what is optional or DIY/BYO. Second thing is how consistent and reliable is the platofrm (1) on one target (2) on other targets you may not ever test on? Third thing is vitality of community.
We need to go to one of these together some time. It is pretty cool set of topics going on. I will be out of town for the next one but Ge is talking about the Laptop Orchesta of the Left, that I though you might find interesting
